Day 249 - Tuesday, September 6th, 2011

After work, I dashed back to The Lighthouse to grab Al The Almera and make the 68 minute drive to Behey, Lavey to see my newly born niece Rihanna, and what a gorgeous lil' doll she is. Mum Dad Grandmum and Grandad were all present, and there was also a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Damo Fitzsimons, the latter of whom will be imminently with child.

As is appropriate for such occasions, I bore gifts - flowers for the Mammy, vino for the Daddy and Minnie Mouse for Lil' Rihanna. Possibly even more precious than this was an entire wok full of my sensational Roast Chilli Chicken Stir-fry, which got nicely demolished.

All too soon, the niece cuddling had to come to an end in order to renegotiate the M3 back to The Lighthouse, but it was well worth the trip.

Day 240 - Sunday, August 28th, 2011

The day got off to a great start in Behey with a delightful breakfast of croissants, fruit and tea before we headed over to Gallonbawn for Sunday Roast on the actual 40th anniversary of Mum and Dad's wedding. The Roast Du Jour was succulent lamb with lip-smacking trimmings a-plenty.

The 80 minute journey to Dublin was negotiated at 4pm, just in time to see the end of Manchester United's 8-2 humiliation of Arsenal - that's gotta smart!
