2011 - One Day At A Time!: Day 111 - Thursday, April 21st, 2011

Casual wear and Cadbury Creme Eggs were the order of the day at Northern Trust, in honour of it being the last work-day before the 4-day Easter weekend. Evening falls and with it, time for Wholly TNDC Thursday, the most splendid darting evening of the year so far, with no less than 16 athletes competing for double TNDC World Championship ranking points, and a number of non-participative onlookers to boot. There was an epic struggle between Gar "Milky Bar" Kiernan, free from the shackles of parenthood and husbandry for the entire evening, and John "The Equaliser" Delaney, who ultimately prevailed to win a 30th TNDC title.

Play continued until well after 1am, with Doolan's pleasingly ignoring the archaic ruling in Ireland where alcohol is unavailable for purchase from the stroke of Good Friday midnight. Birthday boy Justin "Judge Dredd" Bartholomew arrived late in the day to celebrate his 30th and was in a considerably advanced state of refreshment. He would go on to leave his jacket and wallet behind, but naturally it was unharmed. Anto "The Anto-Christ" Macken ironically is an Easter child too, and he celebrated with a fine haul of 17 points which will propel him into the World Championship qualifying places as it stands.

For the first time ever in TNDC history at Doolan's, Frank asked us to sup up and finish our drinks, but small wonder, as it was now after 2am! Conquer to the rescue, throwing open his lavish Bloodbank House apartment to the TNDC masses who drank his beer supplies dry, ate his pizza and bawled mercilessly along to several U2 videos being played on his magnificent projector screen, with the cacophony reaching an ear-splitting crescendo for With Or Without You. After 6am, with all substances devoured, it was time for the plague of satisfied locusts to move onwards.
