Day 88 - Tuesday, March 29th, 2011

Day became evening, and with it the dawn of Tuesday Night Golf Club XIX, the final showdown before the 1st TNGC Major of the year in a fortnight's time. A new champion was crowned in the guise of Paul, who romped home to victory on the testing Spyglass Hill course. For me, it was a nother mid-placed effort, coming 4th out of 7, but my tee-offs are improving a little, and with some virtual rub of the green, the shimmering TNGC XX trophy may indeed by mine, in what will be sure to be an event of astonishing drama and intrigue. Magnificently, the post-tournament Oarsman tradition was observed, with a few extra punters in the tavern this time on occasion of the Ireland v Uruguay soccer friendly in the nearby Aviva stadium (Uruguay won 3-2).
