Day 112 - Friday, April 22nd, 2011

Despite the late retirement to one's chamber, it was an early rise on Good Friday in order to make it on time for tee-off at Balcarrick Golf Club, which we didn't, but it mattered not a whit. The inaugural Beshoff's Cup was up for grabs today, with the undefeated Team Trance (Conquer and myself) taking on the considerable might of Team Slice (Paul and Neil). The first 6 holes were squared, as I managed to grab halves, and then in excellent coordination when I abrupty decided to stop being any good whatsoever, Conquer took up the reins with outstanding driving and scoring to ensure a 3&2 victory.

The round, obtained via LivingSocial (another deals company) for the piffling sum of €5 per person, was most enjoyable, even despite the unexpected smattering of rain for about 6 holes. Even at the regular green fee of €20 represents excellent value for money, as the course is a tricky lil' bugger, with ponds and rivers aplenty, all of which I managed to frequent. Afterwards, the clubhouse was visited for a delicious lunch (as breakfast consisted of a Mars Bar) of chicken curry, rice and chips.

Important to have the rescue device close at hand, I think you'll agree
