Day 177 - Sunday, June 26th, 2011

Before leaving Daly's we paid our bill, including the bar tab which confirmed we had consumed 10 pints of lager each, except a more abstemious Richie who limited himself to 5 before retiring relatively early. And we were seeking more at the end, not a bother on us!

Today's golfing venue was the Ballmascanlon Hotel Golf Club near Dundalk County Louth, and a very fine course it was too, with devilishly placed ponds, trees and creeks at every turn. Naturally my game disimproved even further, making me thankful that a likely 6 week sabbatical from golf is upcoming so that I return in August with vengeful hunger. It meant that my prize-money in the 4Skins Challenge amounted to €0, with the other three athletes each finishing in profit.

The short drive back up the M1 ensured that the recuperation process in The Lighthouse was able to start as early as 6pm - huzzah!
