Day 185 - Monday, July 4th, 2011

North American hotels aren't big into provided free breakfast with their bed, so I grabbed a smoothie (large but saucy at $7 (€5.20) including ever-necessary tip) during the arduous 4-minute walk to work. The Maples office is located onthe 20th floor of a building on McGill Street in what seems a bustling area. The office is a lively place too, even though there is just about 30 people working there.

For lunch I was brought along to the Food Court of the local mall, and huge and impressive it was, with over 20 food outlets covering virtually all cuisine types (Canadian, American, French, Korean, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Vietnamese and Mexican to name but 9), and I plumped for chicken and udon noodles at a 10th - Japanese. Jolly tasty it was and relatively inexpensive at $8 (€6).

Continuing the food theme of the day, dinner was had at The Keg restaurant, a snazzy sexy steakhouse chain recommended by brother Austin and his wife Joanne. For starters was a very tasty Lobster Gratinee, then came the Big Kahuna of 16 ounce steak with creamed potatoes, mushrooms and onion shreddings (pictured below) - utterly d'lish! A glass of merlot, chocolate fudge cake and a cafe mocha polished off a fantastic meal, all in the company of hordes of Beautiful People all seated in funky couch-booths, and a legion of buxom brunettes in low-cut ball-gowns who were in fact the waitresses. Heavenly stuff - can't recommend it highly enough!

                                                                     Bleedin' d'lish, eh?
