Day 178 - Monday, June 27th, 2011

It's only the beginning of Week 4 of Maples and already I'm feeling part of the furniture, and I mean that in the very best way. Everyone has been so welcoming, and with just 27 others in the office, it has been relatively easy to get on speaking terms with each of them - huzzah!

In the evening time, I took a Citybike from work as far as Portobello, and walked onward to Mount Argus, home of Austin and Joanne, who is entering the final couple of weeks of her pregnancy, and she is thankfully in hale and hearty form. Upon the menu was Spanish Chicken with Chorizo, peppers, onions, garlic and rice - truly magnificent, making the whopping portion easy to gorge. Dessert was sagely held in abeyance but when it emerged it was no less triumphant - chocolate peanut butter brownies with Special K infusions - unspeakably delicious!

A bus into town saw me in Lafayette, where Conquer produced my fully-repaired laptop which had succumbed a few days earlier to the "Windows Vista Security" virus, nothing to do with Windows Vista but an absolutely crippling worm that shut everything down. As a tiny token of compense, I absorbed the tab of our 3-round enjoyment, which came to naught, as I was in possession of a €30 drinks voucher purchased from Living Social for €15 - mint! There, availing of a similar 3 cocktails for €10 deal were Lisa, Eoin and Aileen, in ebullient form as it was their 4th round.
