A word about prices in Canada, which are pretty dear to start in most cases, but absolutely everything has about 12% in taxes added onto it at the till - if VAT wasn't added until the end in Ireland, there'd finally be the greatly-(media)-desired mass protests on the streets.
Absorbed by a desire for further ethnic cuisine, I tried the Lebanese restaurant across the road from the hotel, and whilst the atmosphere was fairly dire (some old Israelis and 2 middle-aged Scottish ladies in a 3 star hotel-lobby-type setting), the food was decent, with tasty Babaghonoush, hummus, tabouleh and fattoush, served up with some miniscule chicken morsels that was supposed to be a kebab. So in my 3 and a half days here, I have eaten Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Canadian, Thai, Afghan and Lebanese - I like it, I like it a loh!
