Day 187 - Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

The nice young smoothie lady was replaced by a gruffer more male type this morning, disappointly, but the produce remained good, as was the case at the luncheon Food Court, where the chosen country today was Thailand for some chicken noodles and vegetables.

A word about prices in Canada, which are pretty dear to start in most cases, but absolutely everything has about 12% in taxes added onto it at the till - if VAT wasn't added until the end in Ireland, there'd finally be the greatly-(media)-desired mass protests on the streets.

Absorbed by a desire for further ethnic cuisine, I tried the Lebanese restaurant across the road from the hotel, and whilst the atmosphere was fairly dire (some old Israelis and 2 middle-aged Scottish ladies in a 3 star hotel-lobby-type setting), the food was decent, with tasty Babaghonoush, hummus, tabouleh and fattoush, served up with some miniscule chicken morsels that was supposed to be a kebab. So in my 3 and a half days here, I have eaten Mexican, Japanese, Korean, Canadian, Thai, Afghan and Lebanese - I like it, I like it a loh!

Top left, bottom left and bottom right, I had.....
