Day 179 - Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

Lunch was taken at Harry's On The Green with Hugh, whose wife is with child and due in five days' time, so it was naught but right that I should treat him to some nourishing victuals, all with the aid of a Living Social voucher, of course! Soup, a main course, tea/coffee for €15 each, which isn't outrageously great, until a bottle of wine to bring home is thrown in by the very loveley waitress. Our supremes of chicken with mushroom risotto were hella tasty, although Longford Hugh pined for a slightly larger portion, as probably did Cavan I.

After work, another Citibike journey, another social occasion, in the guise of Tuesday Night Golf Club, where my golfing standards descended to remarkable new lows. Kudos to English Niall English, who scooped his 2nd title, with deservedness. Of course, the evening was subsidized by yet another Living Social voucher (cue multiple sniggers, suppressed for over 24 hours now!), where we each enjoyed 3 bottles of beer, 2 hours of golf and nachos for €15 each - worra gift! This called for celebration in The Oarsman with Conquer and Paul, tinged with knowledgable sadness that it would be my last TNGC for 7 weeks - wail!, howl!, sob!
